Frequently Asked Questions about Residential and Commercial Roofing.

Why are certain parts of my roof worse than others?

In most cases, some parts of a roof are in worse shape than others because that particular area is not properly ventilated.

How do I know if there is enough ventilation in my roof?

The general rule is that a roof requires one vent per 300 square feet. This is only a general rule and may not apply in all cases. Our expert roofing sales representatives are able to confirm the number of roofing vents required to get the most life out of your new roof. W Roofing recommends Ridge venting where possible. This is when the vents are placed in the apex (top) of the roof.

There are so many different shingle options and colours. How do I choose?

Consider the current colour of your siding, trough and brick. Your roof should complement these colours. A great place to start is the GAF Virtual Home Remodeler.

How long does it take for the roof replacement to be completed?

It depends on the size of your roof. The average home takes one day. Larger homes take 2 – 3 days.

What measures do you take to ensure my property is protected during the roof replacement?

We use tarps and sheets of ply to cover vulnerable areas like garage doors, air conditioning units, flower beds and lower windows. Prior to finishing the job, we clean up any shingles and use magnets to pick up any stray nails. Our goal is to leave your property as it was prior to the job being done.

Does W Roofing have full insurance coverage?

Yes, our company and crew are fully insured.

Do you offer different payment options?

Yes, we take cash, cheque, Visa and Mastercard. Ask one of our roofing sales experts for the details.
